Welcome to Colo Rectal Cancer Research Foundation in New Delhi.

Colo Rectal Cancer Research Foundation is the brain child of two gastrointestinal surgeons who have been treating patients with colorectal cancer over past two decades. They observed that the incidence of the disease is on a gradual rise due to changes in the eating habits and shift to western lifestyle. The ignorance of the general public about this disease adds to the poor outcome of the disease as they present very late. In addition, they implicate the symptoms of this disease to various benign causes especially to haemorrhoids and hence the cancer goes undetected till a very advanced stage when complete cure is not possible. They observed and which is also supported by world literature that Colo Rectal Cancer if detected and treated early can result in complete cure and good long term disease free survival.

This apathy of the patients and their zest for treatment of patients with this formidable disease triggered the two surgeons to start this foundation with mission to support and research into the causes and cures for colorectal cancer; increase public awareness; educate the public about the importance of early detection; and form strategic partnerships in the fight against colorectal cancer.
